Another good MTT day

OK I didn't update last night. I cashed 2/6 180s I played. I took a 2nd place which was disappointing. I was short at the FT and CL 6 handed. I had about a 3:1 lead HU and lost a race to get even then ran 2nd pair into flopped trips and took 2nd. I had a couple other cashes yesterday nothing huge. I lost a big pot in the $25+$2.50 $25K Gtd on Stars just in the money. I get AKhh v/s AKcc and the flop comes down ccc and I'm out.

Taking today off to do some reviews and I recorded a $27T SNG HH but the audio wasn't loud enough. I'm going to try and find a way to boost the audio and if not I'll record it again and link to it here.

Another 180 man win

I'm really starting to like MTTs. I made a monster comeback 3 handed tonight in a $22/180 on Stars. I was down to 5BBs, another player had 6BBs, and chip leader had 40+BBs. We got HU and I'm probably a 3:1 dog in chips. I joked with him I'd take an even chop and he offers me an extra 120. So payouts would have been like 960 to 840 and I probably should have taken it but I had gotten coolered in the $10+1RB/1 AO and only a win was going to make me feel better so I passed it up and told him I'd just play it out. I double through him QQ v/s KJss when he flops a flush draw and I hold somehow. Now we are close in chips but he has a lead on me still and offers an even chop which I turn down. Then he raises me and I shove AQ he shows JJ and I river a straight for the win!!!!!!

I don't get FPPs like I did at SNGs. But I'm about 200 tournaments away so early next month I should finally get to SuperNova if I don't jump back into SNGs right away.

MTT win

OK I'm still running so bad at SNGs I think I may take a break from them and try to recharge my batteries. I played some $4.40 and $22 180 mans today. I cashed in 1 $4.40 but ran sick bad late. I somehow won a $22 180 in which I didn't even think I was going to cash. I didn't play it well I know. I was way too tight short handed but I'm not used to having deep stacks late in a game because I play so many turbos. HU lasted quite a while. HH is posted below if anyone cares to see it.

Back in action

Sorry for no updates the last week. My grandmother was in ICU and passed away early this week and I hadn't played until tonight which was another losing session as usual. But I still feel like I'm playing well so I'm trying to not let it bother me. I only 4 tabled about 6 sets tonight.

I'm about 125 60Ts away from SuperNova. I'm not sure what I will do after that. I'm leaning towards getting my $1500 SN bonus then moving to the lower stakes 6max SNGs and try my hand at them. I don't know for sure what I will do. I probably won't get as much play in this week as I would like because I'm about a week behind on everything in my life.

Also I got my 1st student for coaching. Hopefully this picks up more as I enjoy doing it and its steady money as well. So if you are interested please e-mail me.

And I may try to do a couple of videos and upload them for PXF. Probably a few of my older HHs from the 16Ts and then maybe if they go over well I can do some some 27Ts and 60Ts.

Possibly worst session ever

I've been on a huge downswing my last 700 games probably but thought I might be pulling out of it. Tonight could be the best played/worst results session in a long time. I lost to more random hands with my primo hands than I've ever seen. One of my favs was QQ v/s AK and 99 3 way all in pre and the board comes Q77KK. I lost almost every showdown with JJ+ and AK most times way ahead. Last game just made me stop for the night though. 3 handed super agro donk shoves UTG for 12BBs I call with Aces and he shows 32o and its gg me.

This losing streak has to end sometime. I believe its at 700 games and almost 75 buy ins so far. And with me cutting short tonight I probably won't see Nova until Sunday. But I heard a rumor all Nova players get their doom switch reset? I hope so.

SuperNova Quest

OK this is just a short brag post but I'm now about 4 days away from hitting SuperNova on Stars. I don't think I'll do any huge sessions to get there though. I think I should hit it Saturday night but if I'm close on Friday night and running good I may put in a few more sets to hit it early. I'm not sure if there is anything extra for getting Nova other than the expanded store and the $1500 bonus Nova bonus is nice. The 3.5x FPPs for the rest of the year will be cool as well.

Coaching

I've decided to start offering some SNG coaching. Ideally I'd like to review HHs rather than watching someone play live. I think it allows me to see how the table played and really be able to give some in depth analysis and then allows the player to be able to review and ask questions without having to worry about the next hand being played.

I know some of the 2+2 players are charging up to $100 an hour to look at HHs. I'm charging $50 for me to review 3 HHs and you can e-mail me questions about the reviews afterward as well. I use SNG Power Tools whenever I do reviews and usually type up at least a page of notes and sometimes up to 2 or 3 pages.

New Blog

OK I've mentioned on the PokerXFactor forum before about doing a blog and I backed out. I'm slumping bad over my last 500 games so in an effort to recommit to SNGs I'm going to try this. I'm not sure how often I'll post here. I don't think this will be a daily thing but maybe 3 updates a week. I may post a hand history here occasionally that doesn't get posted on the forum but I am going to start posting more HHs there as well.
