Well decided to take a shot at the 33s today. Won 3 in a row to start off then a guy calls pot bets to the river and catches his flush, then in the rematch he gets me AQ v/s A5 and he flops 55x. Next game I lose AK all in pre to QJ flop AK8 river T, he makes straight. Next game I get a guy to donate most of his stack early in lvl 1. The he decides to call a raise with 96o. Flop 887 he calls a bet, turn T and he has about a pot sized bet left and I dbl him up. I did come back to beat him AQ v/s QTs all in pre but he flopped a FD and missed somehow.
Next I get a guy down to 12BBs he min raises I call QTo flop Q64 he had 64o obv. He got me down to 3BBs and I dbl and thenI shove 86o and he had AA and the board makes a 5 flush of clubs but I had the 8c to double through again. Then we get all in on the turn next hand with each having 2nd pair but he had a 2 kicker and I had a FD on the turn that came in to take the lead. I dbl him back up to get back to even stacks at 60/120. Finally he shoved K6 and my A5 held to win that one. SO I won 3, lost 3 and won 3 again. I hate being so streaky.
Next I get A9s all in pre v/s A7o. Flops A7x, turn blank, river 9! But it went downhill after that. I ended the session losing 6 of 8. I lost to a guy who called a 15BB shove T9o and obv flops straight. Then another guy shoves 5x the pot on the flop with bottom pair, I call 2nd pair and he rivers 2 pair. He goes on to 3 out me 2x to win. Then I sit with the wildest player I've seen i HU. Hand 1 he opens for like 15x, next he min 3 bets, me 2x in a row when I open. He blinds me down to 900 before I finally get a draw and shove and win v/s him. I open A9o, he min 3 bets, I shove he insta calls KJo and flops a J. He blinds me down some more until I 3 bet all in 22 and won a race. Then he opens 4x I shove A7 and he snap calls 33 and I flop an Ace to get the win. At the same time in my other match AJ < A9 obv. He gets a 2:1 lead and then limp/calls a 12x shove with KQo and my A8 is good when I flop an Ace. So session 1 today 12-9 for about +2 and change buy ins.
2nd session was a lot worse. I lost 6/7 towards the end but did finish at like 12-11 so I broke even. But I lost in round 1 of the PXF HU tourny tonight. 3 tabling HU games isn't wise and I really got outplayed in the PXF matchup v/s RamboDave who may be the only reader of this blog. ;-) Congrats on the win Dave you played well.
Anyway so I did about 45 games today and up about 2.5 BIs. About 1/2 of what I'd like my ROI to be on the day but hopefully I can keep running at the 33s this week and see how I end up.
